Commissioned Artwork - Hold On to the Love TM
I have created thousands of portraits during my career as a professional portrait artist. My clients come to me when they want a personal work of art inspired by my imagination and built around them, their dreams and unique character. I love what I do.
Stephen Moody's Fine Art Portraits are timeless works of art that will adorn the walls of your home and are multi-generational.
At 25 Moody opened his 1st portrait studio in Salt Lake City and 4 years later earned the Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. Moody's portfolio was filled with images of children. "I love photographing children. Today Moody paints his portraits with that same passion.
Moody's fine art portraits stand out with his impressionistic style, story telling images or just capturing the true character of his subjects. "Its amazing today when I walk into the home of one of my clients whose children are now grown - my portraits of those children are still hanging prominently on their walls."
With gratefulness and passion I vow to make every portrait a masterpiece, every consultation I challenge myself to excel at my highest level and every brush stroke is painted with respect, compassion and kindness to my subject.
I can’t wait to see what we can do for you!

Sunday Afternoon
This mom and her two daughters were the inspiration for this piece. I love creating artwork that shows the relationships of those I paint. This is now a family heirloom to be passed down from one generation to the next.
26" x 31" Framed - Oil on Canvas
Angel's Landing
I was looking through some of my transparencies from when I was a photographer in NYC and I saw this image of a model I had photographed for a lingerie shoot and I said 'There's my Angel'. I saw this piece in my head and started painting it.
34" x 41" Framed - Oil on Canvas
Blue Girl
This is a portrait of my Great-Niece. I've been wanting to paint her for a year or two to create this piece. Renoir's 'Girl with a Watering Can' was my inspiration for this piece....but with my flare of color and movement.
30" x 40" - Oil on Canvas
Reminiscing
